These accounts are mainly comprised of manufaturing companies and research firms. Sales targets will be achieved through new business development and up-sell of existing accounts, presenting the values of the solutions, creating leads and closing deals. Product portfolio includes a mix of renewable subscription based products including searchable web databases, analytical tools and specialized software. This includes data within journal literature, patent, and business information.Essential Day-to-Day work? Achieve/exceed IP Solutions revenue plan in Japan? Pursue net new business through account management and development.? Sell new subscriptions to existing and new customers through new business development, up-selling, renewals, marketing campaigns, and cold calling.? Communicate with customers or potential customers on values of Thomson Reuters' service and solutions, creating leads and closing deals.? Use SalesForce.com CRM tool effectively for pipeline management and sales processes.? Look for market opportunities that align strategically with company direction.? Work with internal support groups to ensure a coordinated and effective sales effort.? Assist with and work at trade shows when required.? Professionally represent the company at all timesQualifications- Minimum 2 years sales experience and/or industry experience is a must..- Communication skills both in Japanese and in English are required.- Interest in Intellectual Property system.- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills- Commercial acumen, with a proactive and creative approach to looking after the needs and concerns of customers- Knowledge and understanding of the information industry and the behaviors and requirements of Thomson Reuters customers and end-users, particularly in the field of Intellectual property.?Good customer management skills is a must; e.g. the ability to deal with a wide range of customers from end users in an organization to the top management.- Good team player / self starter with the ability to work using own initiative.- Selling experience of information products will be an advantage- Solution selling experience is desired.- Good track records as a sales person is desiredAt Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
