Product Marketing also works with VMware’s sales force, OEM and channel partners on positioning products and solutions, lead generation activities and helping to optimize the sales process.Job Description The successful candidate will work closely with the VMware APJ/US Product & Solutions Management teams, providing direct input into the product development process through delivery of technical requirements and real-world product testing. The candidate will also support the VMware field and customers in Japan, delivering product expertise, crafting real world solutions, writing local collateral. The candidate will be the Japan subject matter expert (SME) for his/her product line(s). There will be a requirement to travel domestically and internationally.-Lead and manage all activities within the Desktop product launch to facilitate the process as scheduled-Influences and coordinates marketing activities across multiple virtual teams-Local champion responsible for defining/developing product/solution introduction strategy in Japan-Help the VMware field with information to properly respond to RFPs/RFIs-Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to the field and customers (tradeshows, road shows, customer briefings, Japan SE teams)-Collaborate closely with product teams in Palo Alto to ensure Japan needs are taken into account appropriately so that tools, materials and assets coming from HQ are relevant and appropriate in the Japan Markets-Synthesize complex technical and market issues and develop insight into and solutions for those challenges-Find and manage beta customers when relevant and needed-SME to internal and external technology partners-Help writing customer case studiesLocation: Tokyo, JapanIs this a remote or multiple location position?
